Andy Warhol exhibit

View renowned contemporary works of art from Andy Warhol, Richard Serra, and many others at the 300,000-square foot gallery at Dia:Beacon Museum (845-440-0100), 50 minutes to our south in Beacon (a good stop on the way home). Drive an hour north to see original Shaker furniture and sneak a peak into Shaker life and culture at the Shaker Museum and Library (518-794-9100), or drive an hour southwest to visit the West Point Museum, widely considered to be the oldest and largest diversified public collection of miltaria in the Western Hemisphere. Right here in Rhinebeck is the Museum of Rhinebeck History (845-876-4902), featuring local history exhibits.
