Bountiful Gourmet Country Breakfast

Around 9:00 am, guests gather in the warm and inviting dining room for a bountiful gourmet country breakfast served around a tressle table - made from planks of James Cagney's old stable barn. Savor made from scratch house specialties such as baked French custard pear pancake or a seasonally inspired fresh vegetable frittata. Yummy homemade baked goods compliment a protein-plentiful, hearty breakfast. We use only organic milk, organic fair trade coffee and very local eggs (compliments of our own happy hormone-free chickens, and our neighbors chickens, too). We incorporate locally grown fruits, are members of an organic CSA and grow many of our own vegetables and herbs in season. Please advise us of any special dietary needs, as we are happy to accommodate.

Baked French Pear Pancake: Our most asked for recipe, this one is a real keeper, can be modified gluten free, and welcomes seasonal modifications.

Chilled Swiss Alpine Oatmeal: A simply wonderful way to enjoy oatmeal, that is actually refreshing and flavorful, lots of color and texture too.

Herb Baked Eggs: Remarkably easy yet sophisticated and packed with flavor, done in individual ramekins 

Butternut Squash Frittata:  A healthy crowd pleaser that benefits from the sweetness of the butternut squash and the blend of cheeses, try for a smoked gouda.

Lavender Shortbread Cookies:  A welcomed treat for our guests, light and not to sweet with a kiss of lavender.

Yummy Gluten Free/Vegan Apple Bread:  You won't feel like you are having to compromise with this treat, that suits the pickiest of eaters.
